A Princess

This morning when my husband was getting ready for school and putting his shoes on Jif quickly asked me for a cup of juice.  I gave him one and then he said loudly that he wanted to sit on dada's lap to drink the juice.  He was obviously trying to prevent my husband from going to work.  Dada couldn't resist and cuddled with Jif for a little bit and then my husband said, "Jif I love you" in which Jif replied, "No, dada love school."  I think Jif was laying on the guilt a little too thick.
Today I had a lot of laundry to fold so I rented Aladin On Demand and Jif and I watched it together while I folded clothes.  Jif loved it!  When DaDa got home I told him that Jif and I watched a movie.  DaDa asked Jif, "What movie did you watch?"  Jif responded "Princess Movie" (referring to Jasmine).  I said, that's right, we watched Aladin and Princess Jasmine, do you know who else is a princess?  Reese is a princess."  Jif replied immediately with "Jif princess too!"  We tried all night to convince him that he was a prince.  We are still working on that one.  However he drew the conclusion on his own that mama is also a princess. :)
Jif loves disneyland.  The other morning (a weekday morning) Jif woke up and DaDa went to get him.  Jif said "Go Disneyland?"  DaDa said, "no, not today".  Jif said, "Disneyland fun, rides, yee ha!"  DaDa said, Disneyland is fun, maybe we will go this weekend.  Jif then decided to switch tactics "Watch Cars?"  DaDa said, "Let's get you some cereal," and Jif said "Cars funny!  Cows--moo pbluffhfhf." (Referring to the tractor tipping on the movie cars).  We have gone to disneyland a couple of times this month and Jif loves it!  DaDa said he had to do homework on Friday so Jif (with the help of mama) said "Disneyland Disneyland! Disneyland!" until DaDa gave in.  It also helped that Jif ran and got his mickey mouse ears to convince DaDa to go.  After our day at disneyland DaDa tucked Jif in bed and Jif said "Disneyland fun.  Happy Happy".  DaDa has no regrets about that day at disneyland.  There is nothing like tucking your toddler into bed while he repeats the word happy over and over because he had the best day of his life.
